The line between cleaning and caregiving

Most calls come from one of two people: the senior themselves, arranging their own home cleaning while they still handle things directly, or an adult child managing it from another town or another state.

This is a cleaning service. It does not include bathing, dressing, medication reminders, transportation or any form of medical monitoring those belong to a home health agency or a certified caregiver, and we say so plainly rather than blur the line.

What it does include is a familiar face, a set routine, and a house that stays safe underfoot without anyone reorganizing a closet or discarding anything without being asked first.

Families coordinating from a distance can schedule and pay remotely and ask for a quick note after each visit not a formal report, just confirmation the visit happened and the home is in good shape.

Same crew, nothing moved without asking

01

Same crew, every time

Where salt and freeze cycles have taken the wearing face off but the core underneath still rings solid, the treads and riser faces get prepared back to clean concrete and a new wearing surface bonded over them. It restores the walking surface and the nosing without disturbing the footing or the geometry of the flight.

Recurring senior clients get the same team on each visit wherever scheduling allows, so nothing about the routine feels unfamiliar.

02

Nothing moved without asking

A single settled bluestone tread or a run of paver units can come up, the old mortar be cleaned off, the bed below repaired and compacted, and the same stone go back down to a level line. You keep the original material, and the joints close back up so water stops getting behind the risers.

Belongings stay where you left them. If something has to move to clean under or around it, it goes back exactly where it was.

03

Floors dried, not just cleaned

Wet floors are mopped section by section and given time to dry rather than left slick, and bathroom floors get the same treatment.

04

Light housekeeping on request

Laundry, dish-washing or a refrigerator clean-out can be added to a visit  just ask ahead so it's built into the time scheduled.

A quick check before leaving
Before the crew leaves, a final pass through walkways and exits confirms nothing has been left underfoot.

What this service does not do

Bathing, dressing, medication management, wound care and any form of health monitoring fall outside a cleaning visit entirely. A household that needs that kind of support should call a licensed home health agency or a certified caregiver, not a cleaning crew.

Being upfront about that boundary protects everyone. The client gets the right kind of help for the right need, and the cleaning visit stays focused on what it's actually equipped to do well: a safe, thoroughly cleaned home.

Reducing fall risk without rearranging a life

Fall prevention here means keeping floors dry, securing loose rugs so they don't slide, and clearing walkways of anything that could catch a foot — not moving furniture into a new layout or deciding where things belong.

Bathrooms get particular attention, since that's where slips are most common. Tubs, showers and floors are cleaned and dried, and any grab bars or non-slip mats already installed are cleaned rather than removed.

Dust and breathing comfort

Regular dusting with a damp cloth, rather than a dry duster that just moves particles into the air, matters more in a household with respiratory sensitivity. Vents and reachable surfaces are wiped down as part of a normal visit.

For adult children arranging care remotely

Scheduling and paying for a parent's cleaning from out of town is a routine request, not a special case. A phone call sets it up, and the monthly plans make recurring billing simple to set once and forget.

As needs change — after a hospital stay, a fall, or just a slower season — the schedule can flex. Adding an extra visit or shifting between monthly and biweekly plans takes one phone call, not a new agreement.

Staying in the loop after a visit

A short text or call after the visit confirms it happened and flags anything worth knowing — a leak, a loose railing, anything outside normal cleaning a family member two hours away would want to hear about.

Downsizing and clean-out support

Preparing a home for assisted living, or getting a property ready to sell, is a different job than a routine visit: slower, room by room, and paced around what the family and the senior are ready to handle that day.

This covers the cleaning, not the sorting or hauling. Surfaces, floors and fixtures are cleaned as belongings are packed or removed, at whatever pace the household sets.

Do you provide personal or medical care?

No, this is a cleaning service only. Bathing, dressing, medication management and health monitoring aren't part of what we do; a home health agency or certified caregiver handles that side.

Will the same person come every visit?

For recurring service, yes, wherever scheduling allows. A familiar face matters here, and we try hard to keep the same crew assigned to the same household.

What families ask before the first visit

Can my adult child schedule and pay on my behalf?

Yes this is a common arrangement. Scheduling and payment can be handled entirely by a family member out of town, with the senior's knowledge and comfort as the priority.

Will anything in the house get moved or thrown away?

No, nothing is moved or discarded without being asked first. If something has to shift to clean around it, it's put back exactly where it was.

Can you help clean out a home before a move to assisted living?

Yes, at a pace the household sets. This covers the cleaning side of a downsizing or estate clean-out  surfaces, floors and fixtures  not the sorting or hauling itself.
